Ambrisco captured the big bucks after he aced Bear Creek Golf Club’s 135-yard 16th hole during the 2018 Tree Town Aces Hole In One Golf Tournament. It was Ambrisco’s second hole in one.
The tournament, which has been running for the past decade, features a unique “hole-in-one” format where the course converts all 18 holes to par 3s. All players hit a tee shot with the objective of making a hole-in-one followed by a 4-person best ball. On every hole, golfers can take home prizes ranging from $5K to $25K, sponsored by a different local business. This year’s event featured an impressive $137,500 in hole in one prizes. Plus, every hole featured a closest to the pin prize.
At the end of the tournament, all the closest to the pin finalists got the chance to participate in a qualifying shoot-out where the winner got the chance to play for $1MM, in a grand finale hole in one shoot-out.
